also known as “BIG” was a part of the first Harlem globetrotter team. He was 6 foot 5 inches tall and played on the Harlem globetrotters form 1946 to 1960 he has been on six tours with the Harlem Globetrotters, He also received a “Legends” Ringing march 2002
Willie Gardner
Gardnercwas one of the very first players ever signed to the Harlem Globetrotters team. At the age of 19 he helped his team in the “World Series of Basketball” in 1954.He received his legends ring in January 1998. Gardner passed away on September 28th 2000 one month before his 67th birthday.
Sweet Lou Dunbar
Sweet has travelled around the world three times with the Harlem Globetrotters playing in front of more than 10 million people. When the team visited Rome sweet Lou had the honours of naming Pope John Paul II a honorary globetrotter on the 29 of November 2000. Sweet Lou was the 25th person to receive the legends distinction. He is also one of the coaches for the
Harlem Globetrotters.

Jimmy was one of most famous standout players for the Harlem Globetrotters. Jimmy played for the Harlem Globetrotters from 1974 to 1987 overall he played 2,500 games; he has visited 62 countries in his career. Jimmy is also the coach for
the Harlem Globetrotters.
Bernie Price
Price was the 14th person to receive the distinction in the Harlem Globetrotters legends award on the 26th of February 1999. He had toured with team for over 10 years. Bernie had also played for the national basketball league. Sadly he passed away on the 24th of January 2002.
Carl Helem
Helem was one of the people who helped make the Harlem Globetrotters what they are now. Carl played for the Harlem Globetrotters for almost eight years from 1948 to 1955.Carl was the 15th person to become a distinguished HarlemGglobetrotters “ledged” Ring on December 30th 1999. Ccarl has also featured in two movies “The Harlem Globetrotters” and “Go Man Go”.
James“Twiggy” Sanders
He was one of the greatest play of all time. He has also played a major part in helping make the Harlem globetrotters what they are today. James played on the Harlem Globetrotters from 1974 to 1991.James was the 27th person in Harlem Globetrotters history to receive the “Legends” honour award.
Reece“Goose” Tatum
He was coincided to be the best player of his era after 12 seasons he was also considered to be the best show man in Harlem Globetrotter History. He received his “Legends” ring on February the 8th2002. Reece was also the first person to be elected for the new hall of Fame Committee in 2011.
Wilt Chamberlain
Wilt was a member of the first ever Harlem Globetrotters team. Thought his basketball career he has played for many teams he went from the Harlem globetrotters to Philadelphia/san Francisco warriors (NBA), to the Philadelphia 76ers (NBA), and
to the Los Angeles Lakers (NBA).
William “Pop” Gates
Pop was considered to be one of the world’s best basketball players because he had great skills, he was a great ball player, he was good on defence and also on offence. He received his “Legends” Ring in February of 1995.he also has been added to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall Of Fame.
